D L'Emirates Palace è un city hotel o un resort?
Non e un hotel, è un palace e un hotel assieme. Credo di essere
fortunato a gestire una struttura come questa destinata a
ricevere capi di stato, vip e allo stesso tempo ospiti in vacanza
e meeting. Copriamo tutto il mercato eccetto gli airline crew.
D C’è un episodio, un aneddoto, un fatto, una visita che
vorrebbe raccontare ai lettori di Resorts Magazine?
Ce ne sono vari. Ma uno e speciale due anni fa Alan Greenspan
entrò nell'ufficio e mi sentii male pensando qualcosa fosse
successo. Invece mi disse che mi voleva salutare perche partiva
e dire quanto aveva apprezzato la vasca da bagno della sua
suite dove si potevano fare le vasche come in una piscina.
D Come si posiziona l'Emirates Palace tra gli altri Kempinski?
Ora abbiamo 64 hotel molto diversi, alcuni anche antichi. Ma
parlando dell'Emirates Palace è così unico che è totalmente
diverso dagli altri e ora è il flagship della Kempinski.
Q Is the Emirates Palace a city hotel or a resort?
It isnot ahotel. It isbothapalaceandahotel. I believeweareprivileged
tomanage a structure like this, destined to receive heads of state, VIPs
and at the same time guests who are here for business or leisure.
Q Is there anepisode, ananecdote, a fact, avisit that youwould like to
relate to the readers of ResortsMagazine?
There are various. But one is special. Two year ago Alan Greenspan
entered my ofce and I felt really bad, thinking that there was a
problem. Instead, he said that hewanted to say good-bye because he
was leaving and to tell me how much he appreciated the bathtub in
his suite, where he could do laps just like in a swimming pool.
Q Where does Emirates Palace stand among the other Kempinski
properties?
Nowwehave64verydifferentproperties, someevenquiteoldlandmarks.
But speakingabout theEmiratesPalace, it is souniqueandtotallydifferent
fromtheothers. It hasbecome theFlagshipof Kempinski.
