I
l tempodi essere accompagnati in camera – chepuòperfnoes-
sere una villa afacciata sull’acqua - lasciare gli abiti in armadio e
indossare la yukata (kimono non formale), che si è già pronti ad
assaporare quanto di meglio Hoshinoya ha: il relax.
Che sia quello che si sperimenta passando “dalla luce al buio”
nel Meditation Bath, il bagno comune in stile giapponese, l’on-
sen; quello oferto dai trattamenti agli olii essenziali giapponesi
nella spa, l’unica del Paese ad aver ricevuto lo Spa Finder Crystal
Award; o ancora quello che si prova distesi nella lounge-biblioteca
afacciata sulla sala da pranzo, panoramica sul giardino percorso
dai tanti ruscelli. O, semplicemente, quello provato ascoltando il
rumore dei propri zori sui sentieri, di sera, quasi al buio, per andare
ai vari ristoranti.
Tutto, a Hoshinoya, sa di relax. E di design: che ha come suo
principale interprete, il legno. Naturalmente.

our clothes in the closet and put on our yukata (an
informal kimono), and we are ready to taste the best
Hoshinoya has to offer: relaxation.
Be that which one experiences passing “from the
light to the dark” in the Meditation bath, the public bath
in Japanese style, the onsen; that which one experiences
lying in the library-lounge facing the dining room with
a view of the garden and its flowing streams, or simply
that which we enjoy listening to the noise of our own
zori on the paths on our way to the various restaurants
at dusk.
Everything in Hoshinoya smells of relaxation…and
design, which shows up best in the wood. Naturally.
