A room.
I
n effetti è impossibile non venire sedotti dalla bellezza
del luogo. Oltre l’antico cancello in ferro battuto lo
sguardo si perde incantato fra gli uliveti, i vigneti e
le dolci colline. Dinanzi un lungo viale alberato in cui
si alternano in vivace armonia cipressi e pini marittimi
centenari. La sensazione è quella di varcare la soglia di
un luogo fiabesco, sorvegliati da “giganti giovinetti”, che
nulla hanno da invidiare a quelli cantati dal poeta Carducci
nei suoi versi.
Sullo sfondo appare l’elegante villa medicea con
annessa una romantica chiesetta, ove ogni domenica viene
celebrata messa per gli ospiti, proprio come un tempo.
La hall concepita con vetrate a serra è un tripudio di luce,
un’appendice del paesaggio ove la Maremma irrompe quasi
senza bussare, adornata dallo stile inconfondibile firmato
Studio Mocchetti. La stessa raffinatezza contraddistingue
anche la sontuosa Suite Prestige al primo piano: caminetto
in pietra, piscina idromassaggio a mosaico e un vero e
proprio locale da bagno ispirato alle terme romane. Mobili
intarsiati, specchi, divanetti, tendaggi e tessuti pregiati si
sposano in un ritmico ripetersi di motivi ornamentali e di
colori che delizia lo sguardo.
Infine la Espa, una spa gourmand, in cui il piacere del
palato diviene parte del wellness. Un luogo di voluttà ove
essere coccolati e presi per la gola.
Impossibile non essere stregati dall’Andana, impossibile
non averne nostalgia.

n fact, it is impossible to avoid being seduced by the beauty
of the place. Beyond the antique wrought-iron gate the
eye is distracted by the olive trees, grapevines and gentle
hills. In front, a long boulevard lined with cypresses and
age-old maritime pines alternating in lively harmony. The
sensation is that of crossing a threshold of a fairytale place,
guarded by “youthful giants”, who needn’t envy those sung
by the poet Carducci in his verses.
In the background, there appears an elegant Medici
villa with an annexed romantic little church, where a mass
is celebrated for guests every Sunday, just like once upon a
time.
The lobby, with its greenhouse windows, is fooded with
light, an appendage of the landscape where Maremma enters
without knocking, adorned with the unparalleled style of
Studio Mocchetti. The same refnement distinguishes the
sumptuous Prestige Suite on the frst foor: stone freplace,
mosaic hydro-massage pool and a real Roman-style bathing
area. Inlaid furniture, mirrors, little divans, drapes and
precious fabrics wed in a repeating rhythm of ornamental
motifs and colours which delight the eye.
Finally, the Espa, a gourmet spa, in which the pleasure
of the palate becomes part of wellbeing. A place of
voluptuousness where we can be pampered and tempted by
delicious things to eat.
It is impossible to avoid being bewitched by Andana,
impossible not to feel nostalgic.
